Mahsheed joined the Rainey Law team in 2017. Mahsheed graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Laws in 2015. She gained experience working in a general practice law firm where she was involved in a wide variety of matters spanning several different areas of law, prior to settling on a career in litigation.
Mahsheed has assisted with court hearings, appeals to the High Court and judicial review proceedings against governmental agencies in her previous roles. During her time at university, she interned with a prominent barrister who specialises in refugee and humanitarian law and she also volunteered with the student-run Equal Justice Project teaching high school students about their rights under the law.
Mahsheed’s experience has taught her to always keep a client’s best interests in mind when representing them. Her goal is to ensure the best outcome for clients rather than ‘winning’ cases.
the leading rule for the lawyer, as for the
man of every other calling, is diligence.
